Brains was founded in 1882 in Cardiff by Samuel Arthur Brain. The company now sells beers under the brands of Brain’s, Buckley’s and Hancock’s as well as owning over 270 pubs. The company sponsors the Welsh Rugby Union team and the Crusaders. Brains is also the official beer of Glamorgan Cricket and the Football Association of Wales. Brains has a large brewery in Cardiff city centre.

Brecon Carreg

A Welsh mineral water brand that sources its water from the Brecon Beacons National Park. The previous owner, Brecon Beacons Natural Waters, was established in 1978 as a cottage industry in the converted barns of a farm. The Spadel Group acquired the company in 1983 and quickly expanded the business to the popularity it has today.

Peacocks

The popular retail giant which was bought out in 2012 by The Edinburgh Woollen Mill has over 6000 employees and 600 retail outlets in 13 countries. Albert Frank Peacock established the business in 1884 as a Victorian Penny Bazaar, his son Harold moved the business to its current home in Wales in 1940 where it remains today. Peacocks are owned by the same company as the high street retailers Bonmarche and Jane Norman, and have collaborated on designs with celebrities such as model, singer, and designer Pearl Lowe.
